Craigend is located just off Junction 11/12 of the M74 (depending on direction of travel).  We are located in South Lanarkshire with our nearest town being Lanark which is 20 minutes away.

Due to its rural location there is no public transport near Craigend B & B and we are only accessible by car, bicycle and foot...or horse if you're feeling adventurous!

When driving up the lane to our B&B, please keep your speed down.  There are badgers, chickens, ducks, lambs and all sorts of other animals running around.....we like them, so please try not to hit them!  There may also be people out walking, riding and cycling up the lane and as there are blind bends and no strret lights it is advisable to drive very carefully.

By Car From the South
Leave M74 at Junction 12 and at roundabout take 2nd exit signposted A70 (signposted Edinburgh Glasgow).  At next roundabout follow the signs for Happenden Services and the M74 Glasgow

Drive approx ½ mile past Happenden Services
At the next roundabout take the first exit onto B7078 (signposted Glasgow) which takes you under the M74 motorway and then take 1st exit (other two exits are disused) at next roundabout, again signposted B7078 and M74 (Glasgow)

In less than a few yards you will see a sign on your left 'B7078 Coalburn'; take this turning and travel approx 500 yards until you see a sign on the left 'Coalburn 2 miles' (located opposite Strathclyde Nutrition building); turn left and follow the road for approx 2 miles

You will come to a sharp right hand bend in the road where there is a sign on the left showing Westoun straight ahead and Coalburn to the right. DO NOT turn right, continue straight ahead up the single lane road for approximately a mile and we are at the very end of the lane where the tarmac runs out...NOT where the pin is on the map!  Go to the end of the lane and we 200 metres past the steadings which are being renovated.  Turn left off of the lane and go to the end of the drive (closing the gate behind you) and then please park on the left hand side in the parking area we have designated.  As a courtesy to our neighbours please do not park on the right hand side of the drive outside our neighbours property.
