The Ardverikie Suite
This is our premier room offering the very best of accommodation and views. This enormous suite (almost 30sqm!) features a huge Superking Bed with Luxurious Goose Down Duvet, a spacious seating area with Leather Armchairs and coffee table and a wardrobe big enough for the largest holiday trousseau.

Situated at the gable end of the house, The Ardverikie Suite enjoys fantastic views over an acre and a half of garden, our huge pond and the glorious countryside beyond. For the bird watcher this room is a must, with a ‘birds eye’ view of our packed feeders and resident Great Spotted Woodpeckers, Grey Heron and Buzzards. What could be more relaxing than watching swallows skimming insects from the pond or Housemartins feeding their chicks? We’ve even supplied a Bird Book and Binoculars so you can identify the birds you see
This room would suit travellers on longer stays who could make full use of the space that this room affords.
The Eynsford Room
This is our mid size room, but doesn’t mean that it’s any less spacious (over 25 sqm). This room offers a King-size Bed and a full en suite including full length bath with multi jet shower over. There is also a seating area with Designer Armchairs and Coffee Table.

This room has proved to be particularly popular with Classic Car Owners and Dog Show Participants as you can easily check on your vehicle without leaving the comfort of your room.
The Marden Room
The smallest of our rooms is the Marden, however this is still just under 20 sqm so by no means small! This cosy room has a double bed and ample storage space. It also benefits from a generously sized double walk in shower cubicle.

We are sorry that we cannot accommodate children under the age of 14 here at Craigend Bed and Breakfast.
Additional Services
Afternoon Tea – Weather permitting! Afternoon tea with home made scones, fresh local cream/jam and a pot of tea will be available on the decking overlooking the garden from June to September.

Garaging - Classic Car Owners and Cyslist will be pleased to hear that we can offer the use of our large garage for overnight parking. The garage comes complete with a hose and the use of a jet washer for cleaning the muddiest modes of transport!
Garden – Craigend Cottage enjoys over an acre of garden with a huge pond and plenty of wild life. There is a large area of decking which is available for guests to use during the warmer days/evenings. Guests are also welcome to take a stroll around the ever changing garden which is a lifetime’s work in progress! Cuttings of anything big and fast growing are always welcome!

Fishing Permits – Can be obtained from Lanark Tourist Information Centre in Lanark and cost approx £9 per day.

Packed Lunches – Given sufficient notice we can provide packed lunches for those planning a trek across the hills surrounding Craigend Cottage.
Pet Sitting – If you have arranged to bring your dog with you, we also offer a pet sitting service for those that have ‘pet unfriendly’ engagements. This is charged at £10 per evening or £20 per day.
Restaurants – Lanark, Hamilton and Motherwell offer a range of restaurants to suit all tastes. We are happy to recommend and book on your behalf.
Riding – Bookings can be made for the local riding school in Lanark.
Takeaways – We have a local Indian and Chinese takeaway for those who do not want to go out for dinner and can provide everything you need to eat in comfort in our dining room.
Dog Shows - We are also happy to accommodate attendees to Dog Shows at Lanark Market. We have ample parking space and are able to easily fit modified vehicles transporting a number of show dogs. We know that current Dog Show customers particularly like the fact that they are able to see and hear their dogs from the comfort of their own room, without affecting other guests. We are located at the end of a secluded dead end lane, with no traffic with lovely walks, ensuring that you and your dogs have a calm and relaxed night before the show.

Horses - We have the benefit of a 5 ½ acre field adjacent to the house and hope to be able to erect stables and accommodate guest’s horses in the future. In the meantime we are able to offer use of the field to those travelling with horses that do not require stabling facilities. Guests should contact us to discuss their booking if bringing horses.

We offer secure luggage storage facilities if required and are happy to discuss alterations to the check in times if we can accommodate them.

Credit Card Payments
Here at Craigend Bed and Breakfast we have a Credit Card Machine which means we can quickly action your Credit Card Payments on site and over the phone. WE DO NOT CHARGE A FEE for credit card transactions as we believe you should not be penalised for a service we have chosen to offer.
We accept the following major credit/debit cards at no extra charge; Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, Solo and Visa Electron
Cheque Payments
Payment can be made by cheque in Pounds Sterling drawn on a UK bank. Please make your cheque payable to Craigend Bed and Breakfast.
Cancellations
Important: Reservations cannot be guaranteed without pre-payment or receipt of an agreed deposit. Cancellations will be charged as follows: within 14 days of arrival: 25% of reservation value (or first night cost, whichever is the higher); within 48 hours of arrival: 50% of reservation value (or first night cost, whichever is the higher); within 24 hours of arrival: 100% of reservation value.
